Foundations was developed following ongoing concern of the pastoral leadership at North Pole Worship Center regarding locally-accessible counseling and mental health services in the North Pole area. Conversations about developing counseling and psychological services began between NPWC leadership, Dr. Wendt, and Mr. Ruger. Those conversations became a shared vision, and Dr. Wendt established Foundations on January 1, 2014. Mr. Ruger officially joined her in May, 2014. Although Foundations is a for-profit company operating independently of the church, biblical principles of counseling and business practice are among our core values, assuring the highest quality services are available to all within the North Pole / Fairbanks geographical area.

We aspire to serve the larger community of Alaska and endeavor to provide services to Alaska native communities as need and desire arises.
